Do you ever feel that the dynamism of the workdays becomes too much and you feel stuck within the cloud of stress! Exercise might just be the answer to it!

First of all, exercise is great for the body! It reduces the risk of illnesses like heart and lung disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. While we all know the benefits of exercise for the body, not often hear about how exercises benefit the brain.

When you exercise, your heart rate goes higher and your breathing faster. That immediately means more blood flow and an increase of oxygen in the brain. The brain takes only 2% of a person`s weight, but it needs about 20% of the total oxygen intake of the body in order to function properly. Alongside supplying the brain with oxygen, exercise may actually change the physiology in your brain.

For years it`s been believed that your brain cannot create new neurons. But recent research indicated that with the help of exercise entirely new neurons could be created. This means a great help in recovering from brain injuries and giving you a boost in mental health!

Exercise can help even if you are just stressed out, angry or moody. Exercise makes you feel good because it releases chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that improve your mood. It can also get you out in the world, help to reduce any feelings of loneliness and isolation, and put you in touch with other people. This leads to a noticeable difference in your mood and mindset, allowing you to feel more positive.

And lastly, exercising in the morning can affect your attitude for the day. It makes you feel more accomplished and productive!
